There are lots of adjectives one could land on to paint a picture of Provincetown: remote, raw, real, wild, fun, accepting, loose, indulgent, inspiring, open, artistic, picturesque, vivid, quirky, sweeping, entertaining, eye-popping, creative, gorgeous, quixotic, mercurial, engaging, alluring, relaxing, quiet, loud, salty, gray, blue, dog friendly, winsome, peaceful, and fiery are but a few. But if I had boil all those words into one it would most definitely be COLORFUL..Continue Reading
Tackling your Tokyo itinerary can be a daunting task. I made lists and lists and more lists. All that list making and we still only did a cursory tour of this remarkable city. So without overwhelming you with the why’s I give you our master list. May it be a useful springboard as you plan your time in Tokyo…Continue Reading
When in the Asheville area we got to check out two decidedly different offerings. One created by man and the other by nature. I would recommend adding both to your MUST visit list if you are heading to the area…Continue Reading
I love to SHARE my favorite parts of NYC whenever possible with anyone who asks. In May, I usually hear from 4 or 5 families in the midst of planning their slices of time in the big apple. This is what I recommended this year…Continue Reading

While I was merrily capturing images on my always handy iPhone, I bestowed a new and proper camera on my husband for any photos that were out of my 10x zoom range. Here is a snapshot of his snapshots…Continue Reading
Let me preface this post with this fact: I have never met anyone who did not absolutely LOVE the safari they chose. Abercrombie and Kent, Thomson Family Travel, Backroads, are all companies that I have heard nothing but 100% besotted, enthusiastic, wouldn’t change a thing reviews. With that said, IContinue Reading
We had such an amazing experience with our guides, I had to pen a public thank you. It would not have been the same without them.Continue Reading
I like to think of myself as an original thinker. And maybe sometimes I am, but other times I come to find out otherwise. That is what happened when I read this NY Times article last weekend…Continue Reading
Backroads, the “active” travel company, has been on my radar for a couple of decades. I remember my friend Leslie coming back from her Backroad’s trips. She returned: positively glowing, more fit then usual and energized from the experience. A memory like that stays with you…Continue Reading
