Beyond excited about this experience and we have Karla R. to thank for it. Her book club in PA read The Personal Librarian by Heather Terrell and decided a field trip to The Morgan Library – so prominently featured in this riveting historical fiction work – was in order. I thought this was a splendid idea.
This book had been recommended to me by no less than 10,000 people – thank you Karla for closing the deal. I practically read it in one sitting and LOVED it! You probably already read it, but IF NOT it is the perfect August beach read!! Or boat read, or porch read! Read it wherever you want!! Just read it.
Then let’s go experience the library (just walking in to the building is an experience unto itself)! We’ll learn about the remarkable building and the heralded content inside including a visit to THE Personal Librarian’s office where she toiled and triumphed as she worked with JP Morgan to create this prized and revered collection.
Love that this tour merges everyone’s love of reading AND learning. GENIUS! Thank you again Karla AND your book club. Need to meet those people! 🙂
Space is limited (library rules not ours). We will add more tours if/when the two we have scheduled are at capacity.
Optional lunch after our Walk & Learn at the onsite Cafe! FUN!
PROCESS: Linda will email more details in the week before the experience. See you soon!
