The History of Drinking in NYC: A Sip & Learn w/ Kevin Draper
May 19 @ 5:00 pm

New fun experience on offer – The History of Drinking in NYC!
Join Kevin (and Linda!) downtown on our exclusive Sip & Learn about the History of Drinking in NYC. We have group member Jackie M. to thank for this “thinking outside the box” timed for Happy Hour experience.
We will start our immersive experience in the oldest tavern in NYC: The Fraunces Tavern. Grab your beverage of choice and we will gather to learn all about what went down in the early days of this tavern and how drinking has famously been a part of the history of New York City.
After some on foot exploring of the neighborhood, we will take a group subway ride to grab another drink at the oldest Irish Saloon in NYC: McSorley’s. After said drink is grabbed, we will gather in the back room to have Kevin regale us with some colorful stories about “the drink” and NYC. We will conclude at a fun surprise spot and toast each other, Kevin, and all we learned about NYC and its drinking history.
This experience is a Grab Your Group & GO EXCLUSIVE. To keep it manageable we will be capping the available spots. If it is as much FUN as I think it will be, we will do more Sip & Learns in the fall. Promise!! And Jackie!!??? YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!! Can you hear me applauding you from afar??? 🙂
NOTE: This will be a cash bar situation – seems like the most equitable way to go as thirst quenching methods vary so wildly. :).
PROCESS: Linda will email more details in the weeks before the experience. See you soon!
