May 5 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Join Kevin Draper on our “Walk & Learn” through Union Square and down to Washington Square Park to explore the NYC art world during the defining years of 1870 through the 1890s in the very neighborhood that is considered the birthplace of the NYC art scene.
Visit the premiere locations of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Historical Society and Tiffany’s. Learn about the eclectic lives of artists in the 1870s and the role of women artist during this time period. Plus we will visit and go inside The Salmagundi, an original Gilded Age Mansion.
We will also learn about and see parts of The Ladies Mile a historic shopping district for the well to do in Manhattan during this same time period. FUN!
Bonus content: Visit the home where Edward Hopper lived and worked and wrote many a letter of protest to Robert Moses.
A perfect downtown day in Manhattan. FUN! GO!
Of special note: This walk and learn with Kevin is a Grab Your Group & GO EXCLUSIVE. Kevin and I landed on the concept for this walk while on our insider’s tour of The Met. Excited to bring this downtown art prowl to the group. So much to see and learn. See you there!
