On one of Kevin Draper’s tour Gilded Age 2 Tours (amazing tour – you gotta go), he told the group a pretty riveting story about Roosevelt Island that stopped me in my tracks to ask? You do Roosevelt Island tours? To which he answered of course.

Visiting Roosevelt Island is always a fun adventure – the tram ride, the views – but that was where my and possibly your? experience ended. Let’s change that and deep dive into the truly layered and somewhat bizarre history of Roosevelt Island…

Exploring Roosevelt Island: From Abandoned Laboratories to Landmarked Ruins. Roosevelt Island, which has been home to Dutch farms, rehabilitation institutions, asylums, hospitals, scientific laboratories, and more. Let’s hop on the tram and go walk and learn about Roosevelt Island’s super “storyed”, rather eccentric and  some say “haunted” past. Let’s GO!

Great choice by you to join us!
